Inseparable Madaris Family Saga Brenda Jackson Books Reviews

  • This was another Brenda Jackson classic. This was a great story that included suspense and romance. I've read everything by this author and I am very pleased to see Ms. Jackson go back to her original characters and writing style. I love reading about alpha males and Resse certainly fit the bill. This was a story about best friends becoming lovers. They had been "just friends" for years oblivious to the real love lying just beneath the surface. Kenna's love for Reese was all encompassing yet she never smothered him or crowded his space. They both allowed the love to simmer and come to a steamy hot boil that won my heart. Reese knew what he wanted and never wavered or played games. He made it clear to Kenna that best friends make the perfect lovers and life partners and set out to prove it to her in every way.

I enjoyed catching up on characters from the previous books. It was a great trip down memory lane. These men really know how to protect their women and kick some serious butt. I really liked Joe...great instincts.

The story developed at the perfect pace and was descriptive enough to allow me to feel the chemistry between the main characters. I could picture these characters in my mind and wished if only for a short while I was living that life.

This book is a keeper and I will add it to my Brenda Jackson collection.
  • First of all I am biased not even going to lie to myself or others; I have been a reading Brenda Jackson books for many many years. Main reason she figured out what the customers enjoy reading. Steamy storylines, drama, redemption, and most important LOVE.

Reese and Kenna, have been friends since college she has been in love with him since then, Reese is her best friend we love him but THE boy is clueless he did not even realize Kenna is in love with him. Even after all the couple things they do i.e drinking out of each other cups. Reese really is a good guy, he helps Kenna by letting etter her stay at this house until her place is done. All of a sudden his thoughts of Kenna are not friend thoughts but LOVER. Although Kenna loves him she doesn't want to mess up a friendship so she is very carful with her heart. Reese is really good at showing her the lover side since the friendship is already in place.

What I loved most is how both of theses fools wasted so much time, and then quickly made up for it, Ms Jackson brings back a lot of the other Madris men and family members, so you always are aware of what is going on in their lives. Love the surprise ending with the killer did not see that coming.

    Again Kudos Ms Jackson.
  • I give the love story a 4, and the mystery part a 5 so technically the review is a 4.5.

I understand the difficulty of crossing over from friendship to romance especially if you consider that person to be your best friend, that you confide all of your secrets an inner most thoughts too. Kenna also had to defeat the feeling that her full figure body type was not what of which Reese normally went for. But through it all her personality shined through. Men of course are slow so Reese had to look at things from a different perspective, and it took him a little longer to catch on. But it all worked out at the end.

The seriel killer plot was good it kept me guessing up until the end when the person was captured. It made you think and speculate who was the killer and what his next move would be, and I just love that undercover plot I laugh far to much.
Sir Drake, Austin and Trevor are never going to change the bad guys better watch out!!!

I also enjoyed the introduction of three new cousins and also bringing us up to date with all the babies that have come into play since Sensual Confession. Overall I enjoyed another Madaris book and look forward to the next one.

    Cudos.
  • I loved it but I'm really wondering what is going to happen. Et ween Lynette and Clark. I haven't read the books.bwfore this one but I can assume that I will be getting the ones after it so I can see what Kenna and Reese are going to do next. I promised it kept me on my toes as to who the shoe murdered was but I loved it didn't figure it out until it was being given revealed
  • Fell in love with Reese and Keena right away. It was such a nice story line as far as real love goes. They didn't see each other from across a crowded room, after hating each other for years. They weren't forced to live on a deserted island and then fell in love, this was straight up old fashion best friends realizing that they mean more to each than they thought. The fears they had were real, the love was real and the family meddling/teasing was real. I think the mystery was awesome and the bad guy was a complete surprise. Finally the skinny, exotic eyed, long haired, brain surgeon didn't get the hot Madaris man (and he was hot) in this one..good ol fashioned girl next door won. This story was fun and exciting to read and of course it had some good steamy love scenes to enjoy. Loved the proposal) Let's go Mrs. Jackson I'm almost all caught up on the Madaris series. Peytons' next and then who?????
  • The mixture of passionate romance, heart-throbbing mysteries, murder, and thoughtful relationship advice made this Madaris novel a page turner. I never suspected Dr. Wendell Thomas as the Shoe Killer. I loved the leading characters, Reese and Kenna. I was glued to Reese and Kenna's love story knowing that Brenda Jackson had created a " happy forever ending".
  • Loved this story. If not for my regular daily responsibilities, I would have read it from start to finish in one sitting. I thought it was that good. This one includes romance, humor, suspense, and of course that tight family and friend bond. This one was my 13th Maderis Novel practically back to back. I need to finish them so I can catch up on the things I've been neglecting. I will not start on the next one tonight, but you better believe I will tomorrow.if you decide to read it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
