Fundamentals of Business Organizations for Paralegals Aspen College Deborah E Bouchoux Books Reviews

  • This book is required reading in a class I'm taking. I've been through several chapters at this point and one quiz. The book provides a good foundation for later business classes. It takes you step by step through various types of business structures and includes a good bit of detail about nuances that are present in each state. I am business illiterate, and I am finding this book a good primer. It is a bit dry and written from an outline, but I've read much worse. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who doesn't know much about businesses and their organization and needs a good introduction. There is not much about law or about paralegals tasks, mostly just sidebars stating that a paralegal will probably be filling out the forms and info on where to get the forms.
  • Purchased for a family member who used this book when their 6th edition (Business Organizations for Paralegals) was missing chapter 4; worked great. They were able to stay on schedule with the class and they received a 100% on their quiz.
  • It was perfect for my Corporate Law paralegal class.
  • Very easy to read text...maybe too easy. Used this for an online paralegal course on business organizations.
The only downside is that the information is general for the entire US, so nuances for your state may vary.
  • Although everyone in my class has the next edition of this book, I saved over $100 purchasing this one. We are at Chapter 10 and I have yet to run any problems. This book has exactly the same information, the only difference is the review questions at the end of each chapter.
  • I had to buy this for s class, but it's just ok. The explanations of concepts are clear, but the progression of topics seems a little disjointed and a lot of definitions and topics seem to repeat in chapter after chapter.
  • Needed for a course - the book holds a lot of information for a class at this level. Would use seller again.
  • Leaves a lot of questions unanswered. This type of book should be reviewed by an interested novice before finalized. During the first few chapters I spent as much time searching the rest of the text for answers to questions the text raised as I did reading the assignment.
